Recently I got this chocolate cookies.

This is the package.

It is says chocolate with beautiful winter..

Hmm did I got sweets for winter?

There were 3 kinds of cookies.

Well, I am not even sure I should call this cookies.

It is thick and block shape.

White chocolate with chestnuts, milk chocolate with caramel, and black chocolate with blueberries.

This is white chocolate one.

It is sooo delicious!!

Outside is covered by white chocolate.

Inside, there are layers of pay pastry and chestnuts paste.

It is very beautiful.

Among all 3 kinds, I liked blueberries one the most, but everything was very delicious.

I will try to find this when I go back to Japan next time for sure!

In Japan, there are a lot of restaurants where they displays their food in their showcase.

They are not real. Sometimes they are made from wax, plastics, or clay.

It's very helpful.

By visualizing their own dishes, people get more interested in the dishes, and they get more hungry.

Look at these pretty cakes!

I get hungry by looking at this...

But....

These are not real.

I cannot pick one!

Which one would you like to try?
When I was a kid, I used to go to a candy store. In Japan, there are stores specially sell candies and snacks. Those are all cheap. Most of the stuff, you can buy anywhere between 5 yen to 60 yen.
When I was in elementary school, I used to go to the store with my friends, and it was one of our favorite things to do.
This snack called Potato snack was my favorite, and it is sold at 30 yen each.

This is steak flavor and consists of 4 snacks.

I have cracked the snack, but it supposed to be a circle shape.
It is very crispy, and the taste is very addictive.
The portion is right size for snack time too.
I have only a few left, so I have to ask my parents to send me this snacks!!

The only drama I’m watching this season is Rebound.
The main characters are Saki Aibu and Mokomichi Hayami.
Those two were in Zettai Kareshi (A perfect boyfriend) couple years ago.
I was not into Zettai Kareshi much, since it’s not real at all but Rebound is pretty good so far.
In this drama, rebound is implied as weight goes back to before after losing weight.
The girl used to weight 85kg (187lbs.) but decided to lose weight after her BF dumped her.
She joined a special program and weighs 45kg (100lbs.)
She got hired in a magazine publishing company and was told to go to a popular pastry shop to write journals.
However, she’s addicted to cakes and was told by the doctor that once she eats it, she will not be able to resist her appetite….
Even so, she ate the cake.. however, she did not think it was tasty.
She criticized the pastry shop in a magazine, and it affected the pastry so bad.
The patissier is a bit short tempered and asked her to support him until he baked a cake that the girl love.
Now she put herself into a situation to rebound back to her old weight.
I have watched until episode 4 and the story goes relatively fast, so it is hard to get bored.
Also, the girl and I have a lot in common.
I was the chubbiest girl in high school and decided to lose weight on my freshman year. I have lost around 14kg (there is no way I could be 45kg), so I’m attached to her.
It is Japanese culture that fat people always criticize a lot. People make fun of you, and tell right in front of you that you are fat.
In America, curvy girl is considered to be good, but in Japan, a lot of girls want to be bony skinny. I did not realize until I came to the US, but yeah I think Japanese girls are way too skinny.
So, if you are not Japanese, you may not understand why they are so crazy about losing weight, but you can learn about a bit of Japanese cultureJ

2/14 is Valentine's day, and it is a big event in Japan as well.
But it is a bit different from what it takes in America.
That is the day GIRLS give chocolate and tell their feelings to their loved ones.
Some people buy chocolates from stores and some people bake or make by their own.
Boys are anxious on that day. They are hoping to get chocolates.
I used to make chocolates with my friends before Valentine's day.
Sometimes I gave to my dad and brother, sometimes I gave to my male friends and sometimes I ate with my friends right after.

I was browsing the internet the other day, and I found this really cute sweets.

This is a rolled cake. I like the dot chocolate rolled cake with heart shape inside. I am not sure if it tastes good or not, but it is just so cute.
If I were in Japan, I would have order one for myself:)

Anyway, I hope you will have a wonderful Valentine's day!!!
